The The Upper Deck Bar & Grill Menu at South Promenade, The Sandcastle, Blackpool, offers a classic British seaside dining experience with a modern twist. Positioned along the bustling waterfront, this restaurant successfully blends relaxed coastal charm with a robust selection of hearty, crowd-pleasing dishes.

Upon visiting, I was struck by the diversity of the menu-there’s something for everyone, whether you're after a traditional fish and chips platter or a flame-grilled burger. The beer-battered cod was golden and crisp without being greasy, served with thick-cut chips and a satisfying mushy pea accompaniment. The steak and ale pie, another standout, showcased tender chunks of beef encased in a rich gravy and buttery crust. For lighter appetites, the grilled halloumi salad offered a refreshing, balanced alternative with a nice contrast of textures and flavours.

One of the strongest aspects of The Upper Deck is the consistency of service. Staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the ingredients-helpful for those with dietary restrictions. Portions are generous without compromising on quality, making it a good value given its tourist-friendly location.

Compared to other promenade eateries, The Upper Deck excels with its broad menu and comfortable indoor seating, ideal for escaping the windier days while enjoying ocean views. However, it would be great to see a few more vegetarian and vegan options added in future iterations of the menu.

In terms of atmosphere, the casual, family-friendly vibe makes it suitable for large groups or relaxed solo diners. With its prime location near the Sandcastle Waterpark, it’s an ideal stop after a day at the beach.

Overall, The Upper Deck Bar & Grill Menu delivers a solid Blackpool dining experience, balancing traditional fare with a few modern surprises, all served in a bright, welcoming setting by the sea.
